Interstate Batteries in Auburn is hiring a full-time Store Associate to join our team. This position includes retail store sales duties and stock room duties as well. The expected schedule is Mon- Fri 8am-4pm plus 2 Saturdays a month from 9am-12pm. Your hourly rate will be $19 - $20, depending on experience.

About the position
The Retail Store Associate is responsible for providing outrageous customer service to retail customers both in person and over the phone. This individual is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the store and ensuring proper pricing, displays and products are stocked appropriately. In addition, the Retail Store Associate will perform stockroom duties including inventory responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide outrageous customer service to retail customers
- Provide product information regarding batteries and make recommendations to customers
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Ensure store is always clean, professional & open during business hours
- Adhere to all company procedures to ensure all business opportunities are maximized
- Utilize Interstate Batteries marketing & sales tools available
- When needed, assist customers by installing batteries
- Resolve any potential issues in a timely, professional and friendly manner to achieve highest level of customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate inventory
- Provide internal support to various departments
- Other projects & tasks as assigned
- On as needed basis, delivering products to customers
- Provide coverage to other retail stores, as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs throughout the day
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Experience installing batteries is a plus but we will train
- Strong customer service & communications skills
- Energetic, positive, outgoing attitude
- Basic computer, internet, phone skills required
- Demonstrated passionate customer focus with desire to foster positive relationships
- Reliable transportation & valid driver’s license
