Role Description The Fabrication Scheduler is a full-time, on-site role based in Norman, OK, responsible for coordinating and controlling fabrication schedules to support efficient production operations. This role plans and updates daily and weekly production schedules, ensuring materials, components, and labor are aligned with manufacturing requirements. The Fabrication Scheduler monitors inventory levels, reviews work orders, and prioritizes fabrication tasks to meet delivery deadlines and customer demand. The role collaborates closely with production, purchasing, logistics, and quality teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, optimize capacity, and improve workflow. The Fabrication Scheduler also analyzes production data, identifies bottlenecks, and recommends process improvements to support continuous improvement and on-time performance.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with production schedules and production planning, including coordinating fabrication activities and aligning resources with demand.
- Proficient analytical skills to interpret production data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions that improve efficiency and throughput.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with production, supply chain, and management, and for clearly conveying priorities and changes.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices to maintain appropriate stock levels, minimize shortages, and support uninterrupted fabrication.
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial operations, preferably within HVAC or related industries.
- Familiarity with ERP or production planning software and basic proficiency in spreadsheet and scheduling tools.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, or a related field is a plus.
