Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on inspection of machined and fabricated component parts using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and related tools.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders to verify conformance to requirements.
- Conduct first-article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing cycle.
- Accurately document inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions while maintaining complete and organized quality records.
- Collaborate directly with machinists, supervisors, and production personnel to identify root causes and resolve quality issues in real time.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO and/or AS quality standards.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment with direct inspection responsibility.
- Strong working knowledge of precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems for documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards preferred.
