Border Cafe in Saugus, MA is looking for a qualified Server to join our growing team to meet the demands of our fast past, fully operational, full service restaurant. Border Cafe is a staple of the restaurant scene and has been recognized for multiple awards and recognition for quality in food and service. Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide excellent customer services
- Greet customers and present menus
- Make suggestions based on their preferences
- Take and serve food/drinks orders
- Arrange table settings
- Keep tables clean and tidy at all times
- Deliver checks and collect payments
- Communicate with all serving and kitchen staff
- Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
Qualifications for the ideal candidate would include the following traits but not limited:
- Experience as a Restaurant Server
- Experience with any ordering information system
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Active listening
- Excellent physical condition
- Customer-centric
- High school diploma; food safety training will be considered a plus
