Job Summary
Under direct supervision, perform a wide variety of services associated with the special education instructional program in the classroom and other locations in the school. Employees in this assignment spend a major portion of their time working with pupils in small groups or as tutors on a one-to-one basis. The remainder of the time is spent in preparing instructional materials, and in performing other tasks as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must meet the following requirements in order to comply with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Proof MUST be attached to your application. Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent AND any one of the following: * Completion of 2 years of college at an Accredited Institution of Higher Education (48 units) * Possession of an Associate's Degree or higher degree * Passage of of the CBEST * Passage of a BUSD approved Paraprofessional Exam
Previous experience is desirable in working with special education children, as a teacher, with recognized youth groups, or as a volunteer at a school. You MUST attach transcripts, degree or tests scores to meet the above requirements. To take the paraprofessional test, please email salazar@bonita.k12.ca.us to schedule a test appointment.
