An established and well-known gastroenterology practice in Greenville, North Carolina is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join it's team. The practice is mid-sized, consisting of a handful of gastroenterologists and advanced practice providers. They offer a strong team-oriented environment with excellent clinical support and have a long history of training and retaining APPs in gastroenterology. Enjoy a Monday through Friday daytime schedule with no call, weekends or evenings working in their outpatient clinic. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions in an outpatient setting
- Conduct patient consultations, follow-ups, and ongoing care management
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Provide patient education on digestive health, treatment options, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
- Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently within a team-based environment
- Prior experience in gastroenterology or a related specialty (e.g., internal medicine, primary care) is preferred
- Open to training motivated candidates with relevant clinical experience and a strong interest in GI or clinical experience
