The Sr. Production Worker is responsible for coaching, training, and developing current and newly assigned production workers. The ideal candidate will aid the supervisors in various production functions: quality assurance, safety, packing, stacking, tying, wrapping, and labeling of finished goods.

What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role
The Sr. Production Worker is responsible for coaching, training, and developing current and newly assigned production workers. The ideal candidate will aid the supervisors in various production functions: quality assurance, safety, packing, stacking, tying, wrapping, and labeling of finished goods.
- Responsible for training new employees on proper lifting techniques, stacking, tying and packing techniques
- Provide employees monthly safety and ergonomic training
- Will assist supervisors in the department’s quality assurance by ensuring verification of proper material handling, use of GMPs and PPE
- Responsible for the verification of product management: code dates, proper material usage and procedures as assigned in the SOS
- Responsible for proper pallet stacking patterns and properly labeling of finished goods
- Stack and palletize 50 pounds bags, ensure these are on the correct pallet
- Operate a pneumatic staple gun
- Wrap and tape loaded pallets
- Complete other related duties as assigned or directed by the Supervisor
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- High School Diploma or one to three months of experience in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to use the equipment tools used to perform the job
- Meet the company performance standards for the job
- Ability to work as a team and follow instructions
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to perform all job functions safely
- Three to six months previous experience in a production facility
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Ability to ascend and descent ramps, steps, ladders, stairs using three-point contact
- Environment exposure_ hot/humid conditions (95 °Fahrenheit or above).
- Environmental exposure –cold/wet conditions (40 °Fahrenheit or below)
- Material exposure-moving mechanical parts
- Occasional exposure to environmental factors such as fumes, airborne particles and vibrations .
- Must be able to lift/push-pull/carry up to 50-55lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
