Job Title: 1st Class Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Lockport, LA
Position Overview: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining service records on vehicles and equipment, repairing tires and tubes, performing oil changes, and daily fueling of all yard equipment. The ideal candidate should have basic mechanical experience and be capable of inspecting and maintaining functional parts of various automotive and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain service records on vehicles and equipment.
- Repair tires and tubes.
- Perform oil changes on various equipment.
- Fuel all yard equipment on a daily basis.
- Inspect and maintain functional parts of automotive and mechanical equipment, including vehicles, forklifts, front-end loaders, cherry pickers, etc.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) year of basic mechanical experience.
- Experience in inspecting and maintaining functional parts of automotive and mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with servicing vehicles and heavy equipment such as forklifts, front-end loaders, and cherry pickers.
Skills:
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge.
- Ability to maintain accurate service records.
- Proficiency in performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
