JOB TITLE: Fabrication Maintenance Technician
DEPARTMENT: Onshore
REPORTS TO: Equipment & Maintenance Manager
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time
FLSA: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
Responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance, repairing and troubleshooting cranes, vehicles, air compressors, heavy duty equipment and diesel pumps, etc.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not supervise others or has hiring and terminating responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Obeys and follows all safety rules and policies.
- Work cooperatively with others and exhibits teamwork
- Wears all appropriate safety equipment (PPE).
- Repairs machines or systems using the needed tools.
- Recognize and report defects or malfunctions, upon inspection
- Keeps accurate records of the equipment maintenance.
- Installs equipment, machines, wiring or programs to meet specifications.
- Monitors and reviews structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or othe problems or defects with equipment.
- Checks the maintenance records and tests equipment before shipping or sending to various job sites.
- Repairs minor plumbing issues as they occur on the company facility.
- Ensures company vehicles & equipment are serviced in recommened service intervals
- Keeps mechanic shop clean and safe work area
- Maintains accurate inventory of equipment parts, tools and supplies
- Works with the Equipment Department to provide the needed equipment to the facility.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Equipment Maintenance Manager
- Must have their own tools.

EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years of mechanical experience with heavy equipment, cranes, or similar types of equipment. Must have knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
LICENCES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Must be able to successfully complete all required training by PES.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Language Skills – must have basic level of English, both oral and written.
- Mathematical Skills – None
- Computer Skills – Ability to enter repair information in fleet maintenance management software.
- Equipment Skills – must be able to use various power tools
- Other Skills – must have the ability to perform work accurately, must be reliable and good time management skills.
