Under the supervision of the Customer Care Manager, provide exceptional customer service while registering participants and disseminating district-wide information.

Reaching: to write at desk; retrieve files and manuals
Pulling/Pulling: to open doors and drawers
Stooping/Crouching: to retrieve files and manuals from lower levels
Seeing: to obtain information from written materials
COGNITIVE CONSIDERATIONS
Must have the ability to multitask and be a quick thinker. Must have good safety awareness and judgment. Must have the ability to read, write and organize materials. Ability to master computer programs. Must be able to work well with others and service customers in an efficient, knowledgeable and pleasant manner. Critical thinking using logic and reasoning to identify the needs of a customer and develop solutions to help meet those needs.
FLSA
This is a part time, hourly non-exempt position
HOURS
Hours range from 16-29 hours per week. Hours will be scheduled by the Customer Care Manager and can include day, evenings, weekends and holidays. Must attend Sunday department meeting 6 times a year-schedule will be posted by manager.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Cash handling and customer service experience
- Professional phone etiquette experience
- Valid driver's license
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Basic computer knowledge and minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of customer service philosophies and practices
- Knowledge of and skill with phone etiquette
- Ability to establish a positive rapport by using tact and discretion with clients, participants, visitors and staff
- An understanding of financial accountability and the skills to accurately handle it
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programs
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure an outstanding customer experience that supports the Bolingbrook Park District brand with great service, friendly and pleasing environments, open communications, and efficient, organized operations
- Listen to customer needs and match customers up with appropriate program or service to fit those needs
- Accurately complete contract forms, program registration, rental agreements, change of address and Resident ID records and complete satisfaction guarantee forms and other customer transactions
- Check to ensure appropriate changes were made to resolve customer problems
- Use computer system to access information, process daily business, print reports and maintain files
- Answer phones within 4 rings and assist customer needs
- Report to supervisor daily operational needs, problems and client feedback
- Consistently execute a balanced and accounted daily cash receipt journal and cash drawer
- Provide and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist supervisory staff in special projects
- Attendance at monthly staff meetings, required trainings and/or assessments
- Contact and inform participants of changes, cancellations and other program information
- Perform other related functions as assigned by supervisor
- Abide by the Bolingbrook Park District dress code for your area
- Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the Park District's safety program
- Work as a Team Player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments
