What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dual Recovery Practitioner position at BOLEY CENTER?
Boley Centers, Inc., a nationally recognized and accredited behavioral health care agency, has an opening for a Dual Recovery Practitioner to provide specialized substance abuse recovery services to individuals who are in recovery from severe mental health disorders and co-occurring substance use disorders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in the implementation of best practices for the treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders within the agency and maintains knowledge of self-help and recovery approaches for both disorders.
- Implements and teaches effective techniques that enhance motivation to change and assist consumers to progress through stages of treatment.
- Provides support to consumers to develop dual recovery self-help groups.
- Provides input regarding assessments, treatment planning and placement for consumers with co-occurring disorders, especially related to developing interventions that respond to consumers' stages of treatment/motivation for recovery from substance use disorders.
- Coordinates, consults and advocates with community resources, such as detoxification programs, more intensive treatment programs, outpatient programs, self-help programs and families in conjunction with Boley staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health and CAP certification required; or a Master's degree in Human Services. Education must be from an accredited school, college or university.
3 - 5 years of experience working with adults with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Valid Florida driver's license, own transportation vehicle and vehicle insurance required.
Must be able to pass a Level II background check.
