The Senior Counsel - Global Commercial Operations provides legal guidance on promotion, sales, patient support programs, contracting, and scientific exchange related to biopharmaceutical products in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and approving promotional, educational, and support materials and programs
- Advising on sales and marketing strategies and scientific exchange approaches
- Providing guidance on government enforcement actions and regulatory compliance
- Training commercial staff on legal and regulatory requirements
- Counseling on complex commercial transactions with healthcare entities, emphasizing anti-kickback, false claims, and antitrust laws
- Analyzing and advising on precision medicine programs involving complex diagnostics
- J.D. or LL.M. degree, bar admission, and at least 4 years of legal practice
- Preferred 6 years in healthcare/life sciences legal counsel
- Expertise in healthcare fraud, FDA regulations, OIG guidance, DOJ settlements, Medicare/Medicaid, and complex legal analysis
- Strong communication, negotiation, client service, and project management skills
- Experience with precision medicine programs and complex diagnostics is advantageous
