RN Nurse Manager - Oncology

Job Summary

Responsible for developing, administering, and overseeing all nursing and patient care activities within their area of accountability. Collaborates with the nursing team to support organizational initiatives, ensuring system standardization, efficiency, and financial oversight for nursing programs and services. Implements performance improvement strategies and supports strategic nursing initiatives, processes, and communication plans to achieve nursing goals while enhancing patient, physician, and employee satisfaction. Works with hospital departments to operationalize nursing integration, service line development, and standardized practices.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of care delivery models to improve patient, family, staff, and provider satisfaction.
• Ensures compliance with nursing practice acts and regulatory standards, upholding nurses' rights.
• Promotes transparency, collaboration, and accountability across teams.
• Enhances quality and effectiveness of nursing practices and services.
• Optimizes resource allocation to meet objectives and initiatives.
• Manages a multidisciplinary team providing competent, efficient, and compassionate care in a professional environment.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in an acute care setting.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare issues, trends, legal compliance, and managed care, with emphasis on nursing operations.
• Ability to foster collaborative partnerships and develop service/program delivery.
• RN licensure required; specialty certification preferred.
