Licensed Dental Assistant - Oral Surgery

Role Overview

As a Dental Assistant – Oral Surgery, you will support oral surgeons during procedures, ensuring precision and patient safety. Your responsibilities include assisting with surgical tasks, documenting patient care, maintaining sterile environments, obtaining radiographs, and monitoring patient status. You will participate in clinical discussions, handle advanced equipment, and contribute to smooth surgical operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Registered Dental Assistant license in Massachusetts (required)
• Massachusetts Dental Radiology Certification (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within one month
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and clinical precision
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, compassionate demeanor with excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Basic computer skills and experience with clinical documentation
• Experience in periodontal or surgical dental assisting is a plus
