CNC Press Brake Operator- manual

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Press Brake Operator (manual) to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating manual press brake machines to shape sheet metal with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in mechanical fabrication, blueprint reading, and quality inspection will ensure that all parts meet strict specifications. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings
• Interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and tooling alignment to achieve precise bends and consistent quality
• Conduct routine inspections of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and visual checks to verify dimensional accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols, including proper use of hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment
• Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, welding, and assembly processes
• Perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances necessary for accurate machining and fabrication tasks

Skills

• Proven experience operating manual press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings with GD&T principles
• Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, EDM, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, welding techniques, and other machining processes is a plus
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance
• Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection
• Basic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations required in fabrication work
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to sheet metal fabrication including crane operation and proper handling of tooling
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control during the manufacturing process
