What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Automotive Technician position at BOBBY & STEVES AUTO WORLD GROUP?
We are looking for General Service Technicians who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for must seek solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what’s right for our customers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- A general service technician that, to start, will focus on performing oil changes, tires, and light mechanical services.
- Continuously build experience as an automotive technician across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy digital vehicle inspections
- Work as part of a team to provide industry-defining customer service.
- Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate customer concerns.
- Work together with other Technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.

- Positive attitude and a desire to serve customers.
- Commitment to excellence in care of customer's vehicles
- 6 months of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
- Ability to successfully complete jobs in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
- Professional appearance and strong communication
- A desire for long-term career development
- Current valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head.
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair.
- Have the dexterity needed to efficiently use hand tools.
- Walk/stand for most of their workday.
- Drive manual transmissions vehicles.
- Efficiently navigate a computer
