What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deposit/Account Specialist position at Bob Jones University?
POSITION SUMMARY: Processes account payments and department deposits. Balance overall daily cash drawer activities.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare daily bank deposit and scan to online banking software.
- Take deposit to bank, when necessary, and facilitiate cash exchanges
- Balance overall cash drawer activities daily
- Reconcile petty cash receipts and order check from Accounts Payable
- Post all mail and phone payments to appropriate student accounts
- Process interdepartmental deposits
- Reconcile FACTS payments
- Reconcile Class Wallet receipts
- Perform daily cash drawer balancing
- Support Student Services Hub
- Respond to customer inquiries
- Answer office phone
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of accounting procedures
- Knowledge of reconciliation procedures
- Good computer skills
- 10 key accuracy
- Good people skills
- Professional in appearance and presentation
- Effective in oral and written communication
