What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Professor, Division of Teacher Education position at Bob Jones University?
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works closely with the Chair, Division of Teacher Education to develop and teach content to undergraduate students in the residential program.
- Checks content as well as program mapping of the course through the division chair before developing and teaching the course.
- Creates a syllabus which includes all the components required for a University course.
- Creates and maintains a presence in CANVAS for the course.
- Interacts with students enrolled in the course, answering their questions and evaluating their work.
- Submits grades to the Registrar's Office at the end of each course he/she teaches.
- Participates in Annual Review Interview by April 30 with the Chair, about his/her teaching for the previous academic year
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of and practical experience with education
- Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn applicable software
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Team Player: works well with colleagues
- Masters in Education
- Ed. D. in administration or related field preferred
- Experience teaching and/or teaching online preferred
