Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The Laundry Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily production operations of the Boar's Head Resort Laundry Facility. This role manages the day-to-day workflow of the laundry production floor, ensuring efficient processing of resort linens, uniforms, and other textiles while maintaining quality, productivity, safety, and service standards. The Laundry Floor Manager leads production teams, monitors workflow, and continuously improves operational efficiency to support the resort's exceptional guest experience.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervise daily laundry production, ensuring timely processing of all resort linens, towels, uniforms, and specialty items.
- Manage production flow through sorting, washing, drying, finishing, folding, and distribution.
- Monitor production volumes and adjust staffing to meet daily demand.
- Ensure assembly line efficiency while minimizing bottlenecks and downtime.
- Establish daily production goals and monitor performance against key metrics.
- Maintain quality standards for all finished products before distribution.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Spa, and other departments to prioritize production needs.
- Conduct daily production meetings and communicate priorities and expectations.
- Train employees on equipment operation, quality standards, safety procedures, and productivity expectations.
- Conduct routine inspections of finished products.
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance with Engineering and equipment vendors.
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment.
- Monitor linen inventory and production supplies.
- Assist with inventory counts and purchasing recommendations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in commercial laundry, hospitality laundry, manufacturing, distribution, or production operations.
- Experience managing high-volume production or assembly-line operations preferred.
- Strong leadership and employee coaching skills.
- Knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and production processes preferred.
- Ability to analyze production data and improve operational efficiency.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production or inventory systems.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, humidity, noise, and industrial laundry equipment.
