Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, furniture, and fixtures, following established protocols.
- Handle chemical agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and industrial cleaning standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform floor care tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces throughout the property.
- Restock amenities and supplies in guest rooms and public areas to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts, cleaning equipment, or supplies while maintaining proper manual handling techniques.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial work, with a strong understanding of hospitality standards.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and industrial cleaning equipment.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality cleanliness.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles is preferred but not required.
