Job Summary:

We are seeking a People’s Advisor to serve as a trusted partner for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and workplace matters within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role is responsible for advising employees on HR-related inquires from a queue and call-based system, while promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will be approachable, solutions-focused, and skilled in navigating sensitive employee situations with discretion and professionalism.

This is a 6-month contract position based in Pittsburgh, PA, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring onsite presence at least 4 days per week. The role follows a standard Monday–Friday schedule. Extension or conversion may be possible but is not guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations inquiries, providing timely and accurate guidance on policies and procedures
  • Conduct investigations into workplace concerns, ensuring fair and thorough processes
  • Interpret and communicate employment laws, regulations, and internal policies to employees and managers
  • Maintain accurate documentation of employee relations cases and recommendations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR advisory, employee relations, or generalist roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and workplace compliance requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Assist with client calls, review requests via ticketing systems, review queries, updating personal information/employment details, research as needed

Required Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Case management and documentation tools

Preferred Experience & Tools:

  • Previous experience in a large, complex, or matrixed organization
  • Familiarity with NeoCase Ticketing System
  • Exposure to employee engagement surveys, analytics, or workforce reporting
