Job Summary
The Production Services Application Support Analyst delivers L2/L3 support for mission-critical financial applications across a shared database environment. This role combines deep Java debugging, complex incident analysis, database performance tuning, and cross-functional coordination to maintain system stability and improve production services. The analyst supports 6–7 enterprise applications and plays a critical role in strengthening operational resilience and ensuring reliable performance within a high-availability financial infrastructure.

Job Summary
The Production Services Application Support Analyst delivers L2/L3 support for mission-critical financial applications across a shared database environment. This role combines deep Java debugging, complex incident analysis, database performance tuning, and cross-functional coordination to maintain system stability and improve production services. The analyst supports 6–7 enterprise applications and plays a critical role in strengthening operational resilience and ensuring reliable performance within a high-availability financial infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Support & Troubleshooting: Lead complex L2/L3 incident resolution across multiple applications (RPO, GUI, SEE, GUP, 360), including deep-dive investigations and high-priority issue management.
- Code Debugging & OOP Analysis: Perform Java and OOP-based debugging (Java, C, C ) to identify and resolve code-level issues.
- Database Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize performance across shared MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, and Sybase databases supporting multiple applications.
- Monitoring & Observability: Use AppDynamics, Dynatrace, ThousandEyes, Cloudprober, and log tools such as Splunk and Kafka to monitor health and troubleshoot incidents.
- Incident Preparedness: Participate in failure-scenario planning and recovery rehearsals with network, business, and infrastructure teams.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop Shell/Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business partners, developers, and infrastructure teams to design solutions and enhance end-to-end service delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Support long-term Production Services initiatives to reduce operational risk and improve service quality.
- 7 years of Java experience (core debugging)
- Strong L2/L3 production support background
- Hands-on experience with database tuning across MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, Sybase
- Proficiency in monitoring/observability tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, ThousandEyes)
- Experience with log analysis using Splunk and Kafka
- Strong analytical and RCA documentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ability to support multiple applications in a shared database environment
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams
- Financial services application support (SWIFTNet or similar)
- Recovery testing and failure-scenario planning
- Strong AppDynamics expertise
- Automating tasks with Unix Shell scripting and Python
- Exposure to high-availability environments and formal incident management frameworks
