About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, people-first HR Generalist to serve as the on-site Human Resources leader for our Groveport, Ohio warehouse. This individual will be the primary HR partner for a team of approximately 50–70 employees (full-time and part-time), supporting all aspects of the employee lifecycle.


This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and is comfortable balancing day-to-day HR responsibilities with more complex employee relations matters. You’ll play a critical role in building a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.


Roles & Responsibilities

Employee Relations & HR Leadership

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for all warehouse employees and managers
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant HR practices

Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly warehouse roles (full-time and part-time)
  • Partner with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs and maintain appropriate headcount
  • Ability to work with (and offboard) our temporary staffing agency, including transition select temp employees to our W2 staff.
  • Oversee onboarding, including new hire orientation and documentation
  • Ensure a smooth and welcoming new hire experience

Compliance & HR Operations

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state (Ohio), and local employment laws
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Support payroll inputs and coordinate with internal or external payroll providers
  • Manage timekeeping, attendance tracking, and related policies

Benefits & Employee Support

  • Act as the on-site resource for employee benefits questions (medical, dental, vision, etc.)
  • Support open enrollment and benefits administration in partnership with corporate teams or brokers
  • Assist employees with leave of absence requests, accommodations, and related processes

Culture & Engagement

  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture on the warehouse floor
  • Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, and morale initiatives
  • Identify trends in turnover, attendance, and employee feedback, and recommend improvements


Experience & Skills

  • 6 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a generalist or standalone HR role
  • Experience supporting hourly workforces in warehouse, fulfillment, retail, or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, particularly in Ohio
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; approachable and trustworthy
  • Comfortable being the sole HR presence on-site, with support from broader company leadership
  • Can work cross-functionally with peers from different departments to quickly resolve customer issues.
  • You believe that feedback is a gift; you can receive and grow from feedback, and you are able to deliver feedback with sensitivity and tact to employees of all levels.
  • Nimble, scrappy and adaptable with a high sense of urgency. Can roll with the punches and thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment, including pitching in to support other persons and teams
  • Will consistently cultivate a culture of positivity inclusion where all team members feel a sense of belonging and can bring their authentic selves to work
  • Can successfully work independently without receiving daily direct supervision
  • Can navigate an HRIS, payroll, and/or timekeeping softwares, such as Gusto.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office including Excel


Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range of $90,000 to $110,000, depending on relevant factors such as experience, skill sets and the final job level. The higher end of this range is reserved for candidates with higher experience and qualifications.

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
