Duties
- Oversee all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize costs.
- Supervise kitchen staff through training, coaching, and development initiatives to promote teamwork and professional growth.
- Implement and uphold food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth shift transitions, timely service, and excellent customer experiences.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, sales tracking, and reporting.
- Handle cash management duties accurately during shifts and oversee cash handling procedures.
- Assist in budgeting efforts by controlling labor costs, food costs, and operational expenses.
- Lead hiring processes by interviewing candidates and selecting qualified personnel to build a strong culinary team.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the kitchen environment at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service or fast food restaurants.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on staff training and team management.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations; certification preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions and reporting.
- Excellent skills in inventory control, budgeting, and food production management.
- Experience working in casual dining or fine dining environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle cash accurately while managing shift operations efficiently.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for hospitality excellence.
