A Referral Coordinator ensures the effective, client-focused, management of all referrals for the assigned service(s). As a Veterinary Referral Coordinator, you will serve as the primary point of contact for referred clients managing their referral from originating appointment through close of case.
Pay: $25.43 - $33.72 / hour
This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience.

Referral Coordinator Job Duties
- Schedule new appointments for the assigned specialty ensuring DVM(s) have a record of new appointments.
- Resolve any case-related concerns prior to appointment.
- Maintain assigned specialty service(s) email and follows departmental email triage procedures.
- Gather pertinent information to ensure the client understands financial obligations.
- Act as primary point of contact for clients and potential clients in their assigned specialty service(s).
- Perform post-procedural and post-surgical phone call follow up with clients.
- Receive, process and fill prescription requests, with DVM approval, for assigned specialty services(s)
- Work with primary DVMs regarding requests and routine questions.
- Provide primary care DVMs bloodwork/test results to keep them informed regarding referred clients.
- Ensure necessary communication regarding treatment is provided timely and documented appropriately.
- Provide support to clinical staff in order to facilitate the administrative components of clinical referrals for various services.
