Responsibilities
The position serves as an IDD Intake Coordinator serving all 8 counties (Bastrop, Burnet, Lee, Fayette, Gonzales, Caldwell, Guadalupe and Williamson Counties). IDD Intake Coordinator serves as the point of entry for publicly funded intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) programs, whether the program is provided by a public or private entity. This position is responsible for enrolling eligible individuals into the following Medicaid/GR programs:
The ability to work with families and sensitivity to various agency and interagency personnel to accomplish objectives and the ability to work with families and sensitivity to various cultural differences is critical. The purpose for the position is to empower individuals served to achieve life goals and to live effectively within their families and/or communities. The Intake Coordinator will work with individuals who are seeking IDD Services and/or Autism Services. This includes but is not limited to advocating and linking individuals interested in job readiness and/or employment activities through the Employment First project. The intake coordinator may participate in interagency planning and CRCG meetings to assist in bridging gaps in services and avoid duplication in services in the communities where individuals receive services.
This position requires frequent use of initiative and independent judgment; assertive, professional intervention; telehealth and/or in person contact with individuals, families and service providers and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Job responsibilities require flexible hours and schedule to meet the needs of families. Job responsibilities are conducted in accordance with HHSC Principles and Medicaid requirements.
Location: Remote and in person (Bastrop, Burnet, Lee, Fayette, Gonzales, Caldwell, Guadalupe or Williamson Counties) - some travel may be required within the 8 counties.

Minimum Qualifications
A bachelors degree or higher with a major in social, behavioral, or human service field including, but not limited to psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, educational psychology, education, or criminal justice.
Must have a valid Texas drivers license and maintain approved drivers status throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year case management or service coordination experience working with individuals diagnosed with Intellectual or Developmental Disability is preferred.
Knowledge of appropriate community resources and experience with Medicaid Waiver programs is ideal.
Familiarity with the SmartCare program.
Bilingual.

- Up to $4.00/hour - Tenure with BTCS
- $.75/hour - Bilingual
- $1.00/hour - LCSW-A, LPC-A
- $.50/hour - LCDC Licensure
