As a CIS, you will work closely on a small team to help people with co-occurring IDD and mental health needs prevent and manage crises. CIS services are meant to last 30-90 days. You will serve clients who have either suspected or confirmed IDD. For clients with suspected IDD, you will assist them with the IDD eligibility process, which can include contacting schools and hospitals to find records. For clients with a confirmed IDD, you will provide skills training, complex case management, and intensive cross-systems collaboration to help clients prevent or manage crises.
