What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Assistant position at Bluebird Capital Fund?
Executive Assistant to the CEO — Bluebird Capital Fund
Bluebird is a private equity fund acquiring and growing home service companies. We're lean, fast-moving, and operator-focused. I'm hiring an Executive Assistant to be a true force multiplier, someone who makes me meaningfully more effective every single day.
What this role really is
This isn't a calendar-and-travel job. It's a problem-solving job that happens to include calendar and travel. You'll see issues before I do, untangle them before they reach me, and bring me solutions instead of questions. The best EAs I've worked with operate like a second brain. They hold context, anticipate needs, and quietly remove friction from everything around the principal.
If a deal is moving fast and the seller's flight gets canceled, you figure it out. If three priorities collide on Thursday afternoon, you tell me which one to drop. If something's broken in how the firm runs, you fix it or flag it.
What you'll own
Calendar, travel, and inbox, managed with judgment rather than just process. Communications on my behalf, from LP emails to seller follow-ups. Coordination across deal flow, diligence, portfolio company meetings, and board prep. Projects that don't have an obvious owner, including vendor relationships, CRM hygiene, office logistics, and anything else that needs to get done. Some personal and household coordination, handled with the same discretion as business matters.
Who I'm looking for
Open on years of experience. What matters:
Problem solving first and foremost. Strong written communication. You can sound like me in an email. Real judgment about what's urgent, important, or neither. Comfort with ambiguity, confidential information, and rapid context-switching. Extremely organized. A bias toward ownership, where things land on your plate and they get done. Tech fluency and the ability to pick up new tools quickly.
PE, VC, finance, law, or founder-support backgrounds are a plus but not required. I care more about how you think than where you've worked.
Salary : $50,000 - $75,000
