Job Title: Experienced Pool Service Technician
Reports To: Service Manager, Office Manager
Position Summary
The Service Technician services residential and/or commercial pool and spa routes and performs repairs and equipment maintenance. This role also leads crews for pool openings, closings, and renovation projects while supervising helpers as needed. Seasonal.
Responsibilities
- Lead pool openings, closings, repairs, and renovation projects.
- Perform water testing and chemical adjustments.
- Clean pools and spas (vacuuming, skimming, brushing, tile and waterline cleaning).
- Diagnose and complete equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Supervise helpers and assist with training Maintenance Technicians and Helpers.
- Restock and maintain service vehicles.
- Stay current with industry practices and safety standards.
- Assist with shop maintenance and organization.
- Gather job site information and photos when requested.
- Complete Hazard Communication Program training. (will provide)
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required.
- SP-1 or SP-2 License Preferred.
- 3–5 years of industry experience recommended.
- Knowledge of pool and spa systems required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to follow instructions, communicate job updates, recognize safety concerns, and lead crews effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending and reaching.
Work Environment
Time spent in vehicle to and from jobs can be anywhere from 10-30% of a workday. The remaining time is expected to be outdoors and around water. While we avoid dangerous weather conditions, a service technician is expected to work outdoors in the rain, sun and other normal seasonal weather. There is some dust and dirt present in equipment rooms as well as around the pool/spa.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
