Job Title: Service Assistant Pool
Reports To: Pool Service Technician, Pool Maintenance Technician
Position Summary
The Service Assistant supports Service and Maintenance Technicians in completing assigned pool and spa service tasks. This role involves assisting with routine maintenance, water testing, cleaning, and general operational support to ensure pools and spas are maintained safely and efficiently.
Position Responsibilities
- Complete Hazard Communication Program training. (Provided)
- Assist with water testing and chemical adjustments. (Will train)
- Assist with pool and spa cleaning, including vacuuming, skimming, brushing, and cleaning tile and waterlines.
- Support technicians with equipment maintenance and basic service tasks.
- Restock service vehicles at the end of each workday.
- Clean and maintain company vehicles when required.
- Assist with general shop organization and maintenance.
Education & Experience Requirements
- No prior education or experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Special Skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions and work orders.
- Ability to communicate job results, observations, and any issues to supervisors.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Physical Demands
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and handling of tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier items with assistance.
Work Environment
- Approximately 10–30% of the workday may be spent traveling to and from job sites.
- The majority of work is performed outdoors around pools and spas.
- Employees may work in various weather conditions including sun, rain, and typical seasonal temperatures.
- Work areas may include equipment rooms and outdoor environments where dust and dirt may be present.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
