What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Bus Driver position at Blue Springs School District?
Job Description: Drives bus to transport students over specified routes according to time schedule. Complies with traffic regulations.
Driver positions may be either full or part-time depending on the assignment. Part-time assignments are not eligible for benefits.
Current beginning salary is $17.43 per hour (with no experience) - up to $24.69 based on school bus driving experience.
Qualifications: High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Must provide copy of diploma or GED prior to beginning employment.
All Drivers must satisfactorily complete the requirements to successfully obtain a minimum of Class “B" Commercial Drivers License with Air Brake and Passenger Endorsement. (We provide training; driver pays cost of CDL License.) Driver must provide a Criminal Record Check from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office located on Rennau Dr., at the Lake Jacomo office, and Drivers Record Check from a Missouri Drivers License Bureau or from the state that your last license was issued in.
