Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation & Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute a local sales strategy to drive room night production across both hotels
- Identify, solicit, and secure new business through prospecting, cold calls, and networking
- Focus on key segments including:
- Corporate negotiated accounts
- Local businesses
- Extended stay (Candlewood focus)
- SMERF and small group opportunities (where applicable)
- Maximize occupancy during need periods and shoulder nights
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients
- Conduct regular sales calls, site visits, and client meetings
- Manage key accounts to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships
- Represent both hotels within the local community, attending:
- Chamber of Commerce events
- Networking functions
- Local business events
- Maintain awareness of market trends, competitors, and demand generators
- Partner closely with hotel leadership to align on revenue goals and strategies
- Provide regular reporting on:
- Sales activity
- Account production
- Market insights
- Utilize brand systems and tools (Hilton & IHG platforms) to manage pipeline and performance
- 2 years of hotel sales experience (select-service preferred)
- Proven ability to generate new business and close deals
- Strong understanding of local market dynamics and demand drivers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven
- Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities simultaneously
