We are seeking a Long Island based, ABA Behavioral Specialist, to join our team at Blue Sea Educational Consulting.
As an ABA Behavior Intervention Specialist with us, you will have the opportunity to work with parents of special needs students, helping them to provide appropriate guidance and support in the home setting and/or work with students in a home or school setting.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs of students and track their progress.
- Provide direct behavioral therapy to students in various educational settings.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and data collection for each student.
- Train staff on best practices in behavioral management and support strategies.
Requirements
- Master's degree in ABA/Special Education or related field. No exceptions.
- Must have experience working with children with developmental disabilities or autism is essential.
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques and behavioral therapy practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to assess patient needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
