SCHEDULE: Mon-Tues (5:00am-9am), Wed-Thurs (2pm-10pm), Sat (8am-4pm)
Summary
Provide direct support, instruction, and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This role focuses on promoting independence, teaching daily living skills, and ensuring a safe, supportive home environment while encouraging community involvement and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a pleasant, safe, and supportive home environment for residents
- Provide instruction in daily living skills including personal care, social skills, money management, and household tasks
- Support residents in achieving individualized goals outlined in ISP and Person-Centered Plans
- Assist in the development and implementation of service plans (as applicable)
- Monitor and document resident progress toward goals
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all residents
- Participate in recreational, leisure, and community activities with residents
- Encourage community involvement and development of meaningful relationships
- Promote independence, personal choice, and individual rights
- Complete assigned household management tasks and maintain checklists
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency standards
- Attend required meetings and training sessions
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident and employee information
- Assist with shift coverage as needed (when applicable)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to teach, guide, and reinforce positive behaviors
- Ability to build professional and respectful relationships
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
- Ability to assist residents with physical support and daily living tasks
- Ability to remain active throughout shift, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Ability to maintain a safe and structured environment
- Adult CPR and First Aid certification
- Preventing Disease Transmission certification
- Core A & B Medication Training
- CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification
- Valid driver’s license required
- Proof of vehicle liability insurance required
- Reliable transportation required for travel, training, and resident support
