What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL A Truck Driver 1,600 to 1,850/Wk - No Touch Freight position at Blue Ridge Haulers?
We are looking for experienced OTR drivers to run refrigerated food products up and down the East Coast (VA to ME). This is a no-touch freight position most customers have preloaded trailers ready for pickup. Drivers who prefer staying out 2 weeks at a time will thrive here, with consistent freight available 7 days a week.
Job Details:
- Running area: Virginia to Maine
- 100% no touch freight
- Majority of trailers are preloaded and ready for pickup
- Avg. stops per week: 4
- Avg. length of haul: 500 miles
- Equipment: Late model sleeper with reefer trailer
Compensation:
- Starting pay: $0.61 CPM
- Average weekly miles: 2,6002,900
- Average gross weekly pay: $1,600 to $1,850
Accessorial Pay:
- Layover pay: $150/day
- Drop pay (after 1st pick or drop): $50
- Detention pay: $25/hr (after 2 hrs if on time, up to 5 hrs max then converts to layover)
- On-road parking reimbursement provided

Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age with a valid CDL-A and Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Minimum 6 months TT/OTR experience in the past year (with approved school certificate) or 1 year within the past 3 years
- No more than 2 moving violations and no DOT recordable accidents in the past 12 months
- Clean background no felonies in the past 10 years, no misdemeanors or DUI/DWI in the past 5 years
- Urine drug screen required
