What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct - Accounting Faculty position at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College?
The School of Professional Studies and University Transfer is currently seeking qualified individuals to instruct Accounting in upcoming semesters.This position requires the adjunct to:
Adjunct pay dependent on degree level.

- Instruct Intro to Accounting (ACCT 201) and other courses as needed
- Develop and manage course syllabus and materials
- Develop and manage an online course site in the college's LMS, Blackboard ULTRA
- Maintain records of attendance and student performance
- Submit attendance and grades as required by the College
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or Business, or
- Master’s degree in a closely related field with 18 credits of accounting at the graduate level
- 1-2 years of teaching experience
- Experience using QuickBooks and preparing tax returns
- Experience in Public Accounting
- Design and deliver effective instruction
- Assess student learning and incorporate findings into course delivery
- Utilize a learning management system to supplement face-to-face instruction
- Support and encourage students in a civil and welcoming classroom climate
