What are the responsibilities and job description for the Slopeside Pub & Grill Assistant Manager position at Blue Mountain Resort?
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Slopeside Pub & Grill offers an unmatched mountain-top dining experience in the Poconos. Our year-round restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining is the hub of Blue Mountain Resort. We are seeking a leader that is excited for an opportunity to further leverage this memorable dining experience and create guests for life.
REQUIREMENTS:
- An ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional leadership and coaching abilities.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the food & beverage industry.
- 5 years of food & beverage manager or supervisor experience preferred.
- An active Safe Food Handler certification or a willingness to obtain.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the season.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent.
- Oversee daily operations of Slopeside Pub and Grill, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to established standards.
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
- Lead and motivate restaurant staff, providing training, guidance, and feedback to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any issues or concerns to uphold the resort's reputation for exceptional service.
- Collaborate with culinary teams to develop seasonal menus and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Responsible for achieving company objectives in Slopeside sales, service, quality, facility appearance, and sanitation.
- Partner with culinary leadership to ensure menu items are consistently prepared and served according to Blue Mountain Resort’s recipes, portioning, cooking methods, and service standards.
- Ensure all inventory and equipment is accounted for, in good working condition, and secured when not in use.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
