Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets, focusing on school safety, traffic enforcement, and public safety education.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with public officials, law enforcement leaders, school boards, superintendents, and community stakeholders.
- Conduct presentations, town hall sessions, and educational programs to promote public safety awareness and technology solutions.
- Collaborate with city planners, engineers, and school system administrators to identify safety needs and recommend tailored solutions.
- Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
- Leverage CRM tools (Insightly) to track leads, manage customer interactions, and report on sales activity.
- Attend community events, safety fairs, and conferences to promote Blue Line’s solutions.
- Provide ongoing customer support post-sales to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Maintain a minimum of 8 agency visits per week, along with consistent outbound calls and emails to prospects.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in public safety, Education, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years in sales, public safety program management, or community outreach roles.
- Experience working with school systems, law enforcement, or municipal governments.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build trust and influence decision-makers in the public sector.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Willingness to travel 50–75% within North Carolina.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug test.
- Former law enforcement, school safety officer, or public safety educator experience.
- Knowledge of Vision Zero principles and traffic safety policy.
- Experience with community engagement programs and public awareness campaigns.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organization.
This role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.
Salary Range:
- $75,000 – $85,000 Base Commission (see structure below)
- $900/month vehicle allowance
- $80/month phone allowance
Option 1 – 2023 Commission Structure
- Fixed Photo-Speed Zone (ASE): $4,000 per enforcement zone ($3,500 if Inside Sales Rep/Outside Contractor is involved).
- Photo-Speed Trailer: $4,000 per trailer ($3,500 if Inside Sales Rep/Outside Contractor is involved).
- Handheld Photo-Speed Unit: $3,000 per unit ($2,500 if Inside Sales Rep/Outside Contractor is involved).
- ALPR: 3% commission of first-year subscription amount on new contracts, 6% on each renewal term after the initial contract.
- Commissions paid after issuance of valid citations and meeting required operational thresholds.
- Shared commission at 50/50 if assisting another RSM on an account by invitation.

- Tiered ASE Commission Rates: Increased emphasis on revenue-based payouts tied to program performance metrics.
- New Product Lines: Commission eligibility extended to additional public safety education technology offerings.
- ALPR Adjustments: Commission percentage standardized across new and renewal terms to encourage long-term client engagement.
- Community Safety Program Bonuses: Additional incentives for contracts tied directly to school safety zones or public education initiatives.
