Sales Consultant

Elyria Hyundai is a new and pre-owned Hyundai dealership serving the Lorain County area and greater Cleveland west side. Hyundai is one of the fastest growing and highest rated brands in the country right now — with a strong product lineup, competitive pricing, and a customer base that keeps coming back. We're growing our sales team and looking for the right people to grow with us.

As a Sales Consultant you're the face of the dealership. You'll work with customers from the moment they walk in or reach out online all the way through to driving off the lot. This isn't an order-taking job — the best people on our floor are building relationships, following up consistently, and treating this like a real career not just a job.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Engage with new and returning customers in person, by phone, and online leads



• Listen to customer needs and guide them toward the right new or pre-owned vehicle



• Conduct vehicle walkarounds and test drives



• Present financing and pricing options clearly and confidently



• Negotiate and close deals while maintaining customer satisfaction



• Follow up with unsold prospects and past customers to generate repeat business



• Stay current on Hyundai's full vehicle lineup, trim levels, and current incentives



• Work collaboratively with finance and management to deliver a smooth customer experience

• What We're Looking For:
  
  

• A natural communicator who can build rapport and trust quickly



• Self-motivated with a competitive mindset — you track your own numbers and hold yourself accountable



• Organized and consistent with follow-up — the money is in the pipeline



• Prior auto sales experience is a plus but not required — we will train the right person



• Experience in any customer facing sales role is valued — retail, insurance, real estate, B2B



• Valid Ohio driver's license and clean driving record required

• Compensation & Schedule:
  
  

• Draw against commission pay structure



• Realistic first year earnings $45K–$55K



• Experienced reps and top performers earning $75K–$85K



• Full time position — dealership hours including some evenings and weekends
