Summary: The IT Office Support position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of technology systems within the commercial banking sector. This role involves providing technical assistance and support to staff, ensuring that all IT-related issues are resolved promptly to minimize downtime. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining hardware and software systems, as well as assisting with the implementation of new technologies. Additionally, this position will require collaboration with various departments to enhance operational efficiency through effective IT solutions. Ultimately, the IT Office Support professional will contribute to a productive work environment that supports the bank's overall mission and objectives.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably within the finance or banking industry.
- Basic understanding of commercial banking software and systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified Professional.
- Experience with project management and IT service management frameworks.
Specific Job Functions:
- Provide first-line technical support to staff for hardware and software issues.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
- Monitor and manage IT inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and in good working condition.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that improve workflow.
- Document and maintain records of support requests and resolutions to build a knowledge base.
- Help Desk Support- assists with basic troubleshooting (hardware, software, printers, network), learns ticketing systems (ConnectWise/Automate), shadowing senior technicians during escalations.
- Active Directory & User Management- learns how to create, disable, and manage user accounts, understands group policies and permission structures, practice password resets and access provisioning.
- Endpoint Management- image and deploy laptops/desktops, install and update software using tools like Microsoft Deployment server, Automate, and Intune, Monitor antivirus and endpoint protection alerts.
- Network Fundamentals- observe basic switch/router configurations, learn about VLANs, IP addressing, and DNS/DHCP, assists in network inventory and documentation.
- Cybersecurity Awareness- participates in managing monthly patching cycle and reducing the number of vulnerabilities, learns about MFA, encryption, and secure file transfer, understand compliance standards (e.g., GLBA, NIST, CIS).
- Banking Software Exposure- observe how core banking systems (e.g., COCC) are supported, assist in testing updates or patches in a sandbox environment, Document user feedback and issues, learn about functions business units and how they utilize technology
- Scripting & Automation- write simple PowerShell or Python scripts for automation, help automate repetitive tasks like log collection or report generation.
- Documentation & Reporting- maintain IT documentation (network diagrams, procedures and standards), create user guides or knowledge base articles, track asset inventory and software licenses.
- Project Participation- join IT projects like system upgrades, migrations, or audits, attend team meetings and contribute to planning discussions.

Blue Foundry Bank will award an employee referral payment to employees who refer new hires. If the candidate is hired, the referring employee will be eligible to receive referral payment in accordance with the following guidelines:
• $100 after the new employee has completed his/her three-month anniversary
• $400 after the one-year anniversary
Both employees must be employed on the anniversary date of the referred employee in order to receive a referral payment.
