Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Panel Wireman. This role is responsible for building and wiring machine control panels, interpreting electrical designs, and supporting start-up and troubleshooting activities on the shop floor. The ideal candidate brings hands-on panel building experience and a strong foundation in electrical assembly and schematic interpretation.
Job Duties
- Mount electrical hardware, including relays, PLCs, contactors, and related components
- Wire control panels and junction boxes according to electrical schematics and engineering designs
- Route, label, and terminate wiring for machine panel assemblies
- Perform basic start-up and functional checks on completed assemblies
- Troubleshoot wiring and assembly issues during build and testing
- Mark up and update redline schematics to reflect field and shop floor changes
- Receive, identify, and organize incoming electrical parts and components
- Support panel build activities in a machine shop or industrial manufacturing environment
Required
- 2 years of experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or machine panel building
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of industrial electrical components, including relays, PLCs, contactors, and terminal blocks
- Experience in testing and troubleshooting basic wiring and assembly issues
- Ability to perform point-to-point wiring and electrical terminations
- Experience receiving, identifying, and organizing electrical parts and hardware
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree from a trade school or community college in electrical technology or a related field
- Equivalent hands-on training in industrial electrical assembly or maintenance
- Experience in a machine shop, manufacturing, or industrial production environment
- Exposure to basic panel start-up and debugging on the shop floor
- Experience updating redline schematics during panel build and test activities
