Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive technology organization, is seeking a skilled Systems Test Engineer. This role is responsible for developing and executing HIL and system-level validation strategies, simulating real-world vehicle behavior, and verifying complex chassis control systems against functional, performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
Job Duties:
- Develop and execute system-level tests for automotive chassis and suspension control systems using HIL and simulation environments
- Create test cases and procedures from system requirements covering controls, diagnostics, communications, and system I/O
- Build and integrate simulation models that reproduce vehicle inputs, physical behavior, and closed-loop system responses
- Establish traceability between system requirements, test cases, execution results, and identified issues
- Develop automated test scripts and test configurations for system verification and validation
- Investigate system, software, and vehicle-level anomalies through test data analysis and root-cause debugging
- Support vehicle application, calibration, functional safety, and Automotive SPICE development activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global engineering teams on system integration, validation strategies, and issue resolution
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline
- 5 years of relevant automotive systems, controls, integration, or validation experience
- Hands-on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing experience
- Experience developing and executing system-level validation for embedded or automotive control systems
- Experience developing models that simulate vehicle inputs, physical behavior, and closed-loop control systems
- Working knowledge of C/C and MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
- Knowledge of embedded controllers, data acquisition, debugging, testing, and verification methodologies
- Ability to travel approximately 25%, primarily domestically with occasional international travel
Desired:
- Master’s degree in an engineering discipline
- Experience with automotive vehicle simulation platforms such as IPG CarMaker
- Experience with dSPACE or comparable automotive HIL and control-system test platforms
- Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, chassis controls, suspension systems, brake systems, or other complex vehicle control systems
- Experience with CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, or other automotive communication protocols
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety and Automotive SPICE processes
- Experience with automotive test and calibration tools such as CANalyzer, CANape, or CANoe
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR and requirements/configuration management platforms
