Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a defense manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Advanced Manufacturing Engineer. This role is responsible for developing manufacturing processes, building and maintaining MBOMs, and supporting production readiness within a digital manufacturing environment.
Job Duties
- Define production processes, including operation sequence, workflow, and methodology for complex assemblies and installations
- Develop MBOMs and detailed work instructions within Teamcenter PLM
- Implement MBOM structures into ERP systems
- Partner with Operations and Engineering teams to improve MBOMs, work instructions, and manufacturing processes
- Evaluate engineering changes and design releases for impact to MBOM structure and production planning
- Review CAD models and drawings to support manufacturability improvements
- Document manufacturing procedures, process qualifications, and related production standards
- Support production activities across on-site and off-site manufacturing environments
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related technical field
- 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience within a digital manufacturing environment
- Experience with Teamcenter MPP, PLM, MBOM development, work instructions, and MRP planning
- Experience implementing MBOMs into ERP systems
- Knowledge of manufacturing engineering concepts, technical standards, and production process development
- Experience reviewing mechanical and electrical designs in CAD systems
- Experience with full vehicle development lifecycle from concept through start of production
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Windows-based PC systems
- Experience with digital engineering strategy and digital twin concepts for manufacturing
- Previous plant manufacturing experience
- Experience supporting military vehicle systems, complex assemblies, or complex subsystem design
- Knowledge of design release activities and engineering change management
- Experience developing MBOM structures for production environments
- Experience supporting manufacturability reviews with design engineering teams
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
