Bloom Talent Solutions is hiring an Assistant Controller to support a growing commercial landscaping company scaling from $10M to $20M in revenue. This is a hands-on, succession-focused role for an experienced accounting professional looking to step into a strategic finance position.
About the Role
You’ll partner closely with leadership to drive financial reporting, job costing, and margin visibility across maintenance, enhancements, and irrigation.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly close, financial reporting, and variance analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Oversee accounting workflows (AP/AR supported by team)
- Manage job costing, revenue recognition, and cost allocation
- Improve financial processes, systems, and reporting structure
- Partner with leadership and operations on profitability and performance
Qualifications
- 5 years in Assistant Controller or senior accounting role
- CPA preferred
- Experience in landscaping, construction, or field services
- Strong job costing and operational accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and reporting tools
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth environment

Pay range and compensation package
Base salary: $80K (flexible DOE)
