Key Responsibilities
The Constructability Coordinator 2 will be responsible for managing all aspects of lighting project coordination and execution, including:
Project Coordination & Design Support
- Collaborate with Lighting Account Executives, Sales Consultants, and Lighting Design Analysts to ensure lighting designs meet NEC requirements, safety standards, and company specifications
- Assist in refining and validating lighting system designs to ensure constructability and compliance
Pre-Construction Planning
- Conduct pre-construction site visits to assess field conditions, identify potential conflicts, and ensure readiness for installation
- Coordinate and lead pre-construction meetings with internal teams and customers to define responsibilities, timelines, and expectations
- Ensure all required permits, utility locates, and approvals are obtained and remain valid throughout the project lifecycle
Construction & Field Coordination
- Coordinate installation and repair of lighting equipment and associated distribution facilities with internal divisions and contractor teams
- Manage contractor workforce performance, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
- Monitor project schedules and ensure all commitment dates and milestones are met
Quality Control & Compliance
- Inspect completed lighting installations and repairs to ensure compliance with NEC codes, company standards, and project specifications
- Provide performance feedback to lighting contractors and ensure continuous improvement
- Ensure all work is completed within budget and meets both internal and external customer expectations
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Review and approve contract labor unit sheets and invoices for accuracy and compliance
- Track labor units and ensure proper cost allocation to the correct DWE (Distribution Work Element)
- Manage project budgets and monitor expenditures to maintain cost control
Maintenance & Customer Support
- Assist internal and external stakeholders with lighting maintenance issues and troubleshooting
- Serve as a point of contact for addressing concerns related to lighting system performance and repairs
- Ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests and service issues
Technical Skills, Knowledge & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and outdoor lighting system design and installation
- Experience with electrical distribution systems and lighting infrastructure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Familiarity with internal systems such as LAMP, CAMP, and Fulcrum
- Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities simultaneously
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and contractor management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in outdoor NEC lighting system design, installation, and maintenance
- Proven experience managing contractor workforce and field operations
- Electrical License in the state of Alabama required
- Master Electrician License required
- Experience working with lighting systems, distribution facilities, and construction coordination
- Ability to work within project timelines and budgets while maintaining quality standards
