Direct Support Professional- Sleep

Job Overview
As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs. In this position you will sleep overnight and wake up to ensure client is up for the day. You will provide compassionate care and support in various settings, including individual homes, day program facilities, and community-based environments. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Duties

• Sleep overnight
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation if needed.
• Provide patient care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, and autism.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with medication administration as per care plans.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties
• Observe and document client behavior and progress to report to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients.

Qualifications

• 18 and older
• Reliable transportation
• Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred however not mandatory
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR is preferred however training is offered
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
• A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to work with people who have disabilities or special needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
