Blenko Glass Company is looking for a LOCAL skilled landscaping contractor to breathe new life into our garden space and make it something truly extraordinary! We need someone with genuine landscaping and gardening expertise who can take complete ownership of this project and transform our outdoor area with the same artistry that goes into our glass. This contract position offers competitive hourly compensation based on your experience and creative vision, and allows you to make your own schedule.
The role would typically require a few days per month, with additional upfront work needed to restore the garden to its full potential. Once established, you'd focus on ongoing maintenance and seasonal enhancements. We'll cover all materials within an agreed budget, and can provide additional staff support when you need extra hands for larger tasks.
Your responsibilities would encompass everything from strategic mulching and artistic arrangement of garden glass elements to comprehensive weeding and soil management. You'd be designing and planting seasonal flower beds with careful consideration of bloom schedules to ensure year-round beauty, selecting plants that complement each other and our facility's aesthetic. Beyond the basics, we're looking for someone who can envision creative landscaping solutions, perhaps incorporating unique elements that reflect our glass-making heritage, managing irrigation needs, pruning and plant health care, and developing a long-term maintenance plan that keeps the space thriving through all seasons.
