This full-time contract position focuses on supporting a multi-disability caseload in a collaborative elementary school environment. Work alongside a skilled team—including paraeducators and specialists in OT/PT, psychology, social work, and speech-language pathology—to provide individualized instruction and growth for every child.
Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Department of Education license with a Special Education Generalist endorsement
- At least two years of classroom experience working directly with students with multiple disabilities
- Strong behavior management and adaptive communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Proven record in developing and implementing IEPs for elementary-aged students
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction designed to meet each student’s unique learning needs within an elementary setting
- Collaborate with paraeducators and allied professionals to implement effective strategies and accommodations
- Maintain a manageable caseload with a 10:1 student-to-provider ratio and dedicated classroom support
- Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth
- Communicate consistently with families and team members regarding student progress and strategies for success
