Make an immediate difference in students' lives as an experienced educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing services. This contract role offers the chance to work in a supportive educational environment, delivering thoughtful instruction and advocacy for students with unique communication needs. The position is full-time, in-person, and runs through June 2027, with further caseload information provided in the interview.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure or endorsement as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (proof required upon request)
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and delivering educational plans for D/HH students
  • Experience utilizing a variety of communication modalities (e.g., ASL, oral communication, total communication)
  • Strong collaboration skills with classroom teachers, families, and support staff
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, engaging learning environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction customized to students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups to support diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Adapt curriculum, assessments, and materials to ensure accessibility
  • Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering guidance on best practices in deaf education
  • Monitor student progress and regularly participate in IEP meetings
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with educational requirements
