Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid and active CDE Certification required
• Experience teaching or supporting visually impaired students in K-12 settings strongly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of assistive technology, Braille, and accommodations in educational environments
• Strong collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Must successfully complete district-required background check and fingerprinting

Role Overview & Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and adaptations to ensure students with visual impairments receive optimal support
• Collaborate with general/special education staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Consult on the use of adaptive materials, technology, and resources
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment across possibly multiple schools
• Advocate for students’ needs and encourage their academic and social growth
